7th September 2019 i arranged a lovely evening where 45 of our members (1 Bell boat full of plums missing from picture) where once again we went to Fladbury for another lovely evening on the water but this time in bell boats. Firstly heading upstream so far before turning around and heading downstream, through the lock, into the weir pool and then carrying on under jubilee bridge and into Cropthorne. On the way back there was a little race to see who had mastered the waters but i’d call it a draw! If you would like to see a video of our evening that i made then please click HERE.
15th August 2019 saw 24 of our members take to the River Avon in Fladbury where i arranged for some of our members to have a go at SUP and Canoeing. The weather was beautiful which made for a lovely time. Most plums stayed dry apart from a few “shakey” legs and some who decided to jump in ! Having arranged this the past 2 years with the amount of people wanting to do it, i will be arranging it again next year. Thanks to Julie Herbert for organising and sorting the tickets for this event and what a day it turned out to be! The weather was fantastic and oh, it also happened to be my birthday!! Although I seemed to pick the worst horse in every race, others faired better on their bets! There was a great turn out of Plums, most of which gathered together in the picnic area, complete with picnics and bubbly!
Definitly an event for next year, so I will keep you posted on the date (once its announced) and make sure as many Plums as possible can join us!!
We usually hold our annual presentation evening on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year, but unfortunately Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, so things have had to change.
With this in mind, the committee have decided that this years celebrations will take place on Tuesday 27th December at 6:00pm (seated for 6:30pm) and following last years success will be at the Plough and Harrow in Drakes Broughton once again. One good thing is that being mid-week the cost is less than last year!
Partners are again welcome! However, places are limited to 58, so first come, first served (excuse the pun).
This year we are asking that you pay directly into the PPP account (details available on the website). Please put the reference Xmas and your name.
The cost will be £9.00 per person for the carvery meal and if you wish to have a dessert you can pay separately on the night.
Please let me know if you have paid and I can add you to the list.
